CYC Annual General Meeting
As formally advised in the attached notice of meeting, the Canberra Yacht Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 16 August. This is an important annual event in the life of our Club and we encourage as many members as possible to attend. Its also the occasion for election of a new Committee to serve for the 2010-2011 year. Nomination and proxy forms.

The Canberra Yacht Club book - From Lake George to Lake Burley Griffin, The History
Surrounding the Formation of the Canberra Yacht Club, the Events and Personalities of
the First 10 Years, 1959 to 1969 - is now available for purchase from the CYC's boat
shop or the office. The book is the first of a pair that will record the 50 year history of the Club, an anniversary to be celebrated on 14 September 2009. This initial book refers to sailing activities on Lake George in the 1950s, before the establishment of the Canberra Yacht Club in September 1959, and after its formation first at Lake George then on Lake Burley Griffin from 1964. It records the many significant events that occurred and the personalities involved in the first decade of the Yacht Club. For more information please call the office on 6273 7177.
