The 2011 Australian Championship for the International Flying Fifteen Class
is to be sailed on the waters of Lake Burley Griffin in the ACT under
the burgee of the Canberra Yacht Club.  The ACT Flying Fifteen Association
will again be pleased to host a national series and the members warmly
invite Australian and overseas competitors to participate in this
49th Australian Championship.

The Championship series is planned to be sailed over a four day period commencing Tuesday 4th January 2011 and concluding on Friday 7th January.  The Invitation Race will be sailed on Monday 3rd January.  The Presentation Dinner will be held on Friday 7th January.  The entrants will compete concurrently for trophies in Open, Silver and Classic Divisions of the Flying Fifteen Class, and for other national trophies.

Interstate and overseas participants competing in previous national championships held at the Canberra Yacht Club have remarked about the excellent facilities at Lotus Bay in Yarralumla, in particular the proximity to the racing course located directly adjacent to the Club.

Entrants and accompanying visitors to the Canberra Yacht Club will also be able to enjoy the comfortable bar and restaurant facilities of the collocated Canberra Southern Cross Yacht Club. premises.

A wide choice of suitable forms of accommodation is available in the National Capital and while early January is not normally one of the busiest periods for tourists, it is recommended that bookings be made as early as possible. Details are available on website www.visitcanberra.com.au, and additional information on any special arrangements will be advised as planning proceeds.
